Overture is a small marketing studio. We do paid ads, social, websites and SEO — and we do them properly. No layers, no theatrics, no surprise invoices.
Overture started the way most useful things do — out of frustration. A handful of brand founders kept asking us the same question: "Why is it this hard to get straight answers from a marketing agency?" So we built one that gives them.
We're based in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal, working with brands across South Africa, the UK, Europe, Australia and the US. Our clients are usually founder-led, ambitious, and tired of being a small fish in a big agency's portfolio.
The studio stays deliberately small. Senior people do the work. Same humans on the kickoff call as on the Friday review. We answer Slack in hours, not weeks, and the only deck you'll see from us is the one with the plan in it.
The shorter list of things we care about, the easier it is to do them well.
If we can't explain what we're doing — and why — in language a non-marketer can follow, we don't really understand it ourselves. Reports come back in sentences, not acronyms.
You'll never be handed off to a junior account manager who's reading from a checklist. The person who pitched the work is the person doing the work.
If we're not the right studio for the brand, we'll tell you — usually on the first call. Better a short conversation than a long, awkward retainer.
We've seen what works and what doesn't, and we'll say so. You don't have to agree — but you'll always know where we stand.
We've intentionally kept the team small. It means we can stay across every account, answer messages quickly, and care about the result like it's our own brand.
Strategy, design, media buying and SEO sit in the same room. Or the same channel. No "let me check with the other team and get back to you".
We work with a small number of brands at any one time. If we're booked, we'll tell you when a slot opens — not pretend we have capacity.
One Loom on Tuesday, a written summary on Friday, a longer review every month. Predictable rhythm, no surprises, no radio silence.
